How we set up here
From castle to industrial estate: three towns in one
Alcalá has a tightly packed historic centre climbing up towards the castle, modern districts with wide avenues and a huge industrial belt. Each one calls for a different kind of set-up.
The old town is built on a slope along the edge of the alcor (ridge): narrow streets, steep hills and pedestrian stretches. There, set-up is scheduled for a specific time with the vehicle as close as possible, bearing in mind there may be a climb to tackle on foot. In the newer districts and industrial estates, on the other hand —which cover a very large area towards the A-92 and SE-40— the van can drive right up to the set-up point with no trouble at all.
The Guadaíra riverside
The river and its banks, with the old flour mills that earned the town its fame for bread, are now a promenade where open-air events are held. Setting up there means two things: limited vehicle access along some stretches, so the equipment goes in by trolley, and no usable power sockets, so we rely on a generator or battery-powered equipment. The damp by the water also makes it wise to protect the control position and connections.
Warehouses and industry
The industrial base generates plenty of a different kind of work: product launches inside warehouses, technical conferences, company anniversaries and events with factory tours. In these cases the sound has to compete with a highly reverberant space and, at times, with machinery running in adjacent areas. The answer is distributed systems, headset microphones for whoever leads the tour and, if the route is long, portable equipment that moves with the group.

What gets celebrated
Street parties, corporate events and country-estate celebrations
It is a large town with its own festive calendar and plenty of business activity, so the kind of booking varies a lot depending on the time of year.
Spring and summer bring most of the open-air events: the feria, neighbourhood parties, May Crosses, veladas (open-air evening fairs) and concerts. For these set-ups we work with a stage or platform, a system sized to the real capacity of the square or venue, and a power plan finalised before the date. When there are live bands, the rider comes into play: stage monitoring, backline and enough channels on the mixing desk.
The rest of the year brings weddings and celebrations at country estates and haciendas around Los Alcores, First Communion parties in halls and a good number of corporate events. Being so close to Seville means many of the city's company events are held here, where there is more space and parking.

Frequently asked questions
Frequently asked questions in Alcalá
Can you set up a stage for a neighbourhood party?
Yes. We work with modular stages and platforms in various sizes, with or without a roof. We need to know the available area, whether the ground is firm and level, and what time the area can be closed off so we can set up safely.
The band has sent us a rider. Can you make sense of it?
Yes, it is part of the job. Send it to us as it is and we will tell you what we cover, what would need adjusting and what the band brings. If you want to understand it yourself, our guide to reading a technical rider explains it without jargon.
Is access to the hilly old town a problem?
It is solved with planning. Tell us the exact spot and we will work out whether we can get there by vehicle or need to carry equipment up by hand. On steep slopes a lighter set-up and an extra pair of hands are advisable.
How much power is needed for a concert in a square?
It depends on the system, the number of moving heads and whether there is a screen. There is no single figure: you add up the actual consumption of each piece of equipment and allow a margin. We calculate it for you and tell you which generator is needed.
Shall we set up in Alcalá de Guadaíra?
Tell us whether it is in a street, hall, country estate or warehouse. With the attendance and the date, we will confirm the equipment, power and set-up schedule.
