Birthdays
Sound for birthday parties in Seville
A seventh birthday in a party room is not the same as a fortieth on a country plot or an eightieth with the whole family. The equipment changes, the volume changes and the price changes.

Scaled by age
Tell me the age and number of guests and I'll tell you the equipment
The classic mistake is ordering a big system for fear of falling short and ending up with one you can't even use at a third of its volume. The right size comes down to two things: how many guests and how old they are.
Children's birthday party
With children, the equipment needs to be sturdy and out of reach, not powerful. What you need is a speaker with a phone connection, a handheld microphone for the entertainer and, if you like, a karaoke, which fills an entire afternoon. The volume is left fixed: in an enclosed room with thirty children, turning it up only makes everyone shout louder.
Teenagers
Here they really do want it to be felt. The set-up adds subwoofers, some coloured lighting and, quite often, a smoke machine. If they're going to DJ from their phone or laptop, we leave a protected input ready so there's no volume spike every time they change song.
Adult birthdays: thirty, forty, fifty
They're usually held on a plot, at a villa or in a hired venue, with lunch or dinner followed by dancing. The approach is that of a private party: sound spread out at conversation level during the meal and a punchier set-up for the dancing. A wireless microphone takes care of the toast and the surprises.
Big family birthdays
Eighty, ninety, several generations together and often a photo video. What matters here is intelligibility: older guests in the room mean the voice has to be clear and the music lower than you'd set it by default. A pair of well-placed speakers and a microphone is all you need.
How it is sized
Guide by audience size
| Situation | Sound | Add-ons |
|---|---|---|
| Up to 30 people, indoors | One speaker on a tripod and a microphone | Optional karaoke |
| 30 to 80, venue or plot | Two spread-out speakers and a small mixer | Wireless microphone and dance-floor lighting |
| 80 to 150, with dancing | System with subwoofers and DJ booth | Lights, smoke and a mic for the toast |
| Over 150 or outdoors | System spread across several points | Technician recommended during the event |
What to plan for
Three details that change the set-up
The venue. A celebration venue already has sockets and sometimes a sound limiter. A plot may have no power near the dance area. A rooftop limits the size of what can be carried up. Tell us when you request a quote and we'll bring the right equipment first time.
The time. Children's birthdays are in the afternoon and finish early; adult ones start late and end in the small hours. Set-up and collection are planned around that, and in residential areas the music finishing time needs checking.
Who's in charge of the music. If there's no DJ, we leave everything configured and explained to one person: plug in the phone and you're done. If there's a DJ, we agree beforehand what they'll bring, so we don't take players they won't use or miss ones they do need.
If it's an eighteenth birthday, the format you're after is probably a puesta de largo (debutante ball); and if there's a children's tea party as well as music, the approach is similar to a First Communion.

With that and the venue, we'll propose just the right equipment. Not too much, which you pay for; not too little, which shows.
Frequently asked questions
Birthday party FAQs
What's the cheapest sound system for a birthday?
An active speaker on a tripod with a phone connection. That easily covers a medium-sized room. From there, each add-on (microphone, subwoofer, lights) raises the quote step by step.
Is karaoke or DJ equipment better?
With children and family groups, karaoke always wins. With teenagers and adults who want to dance, DJ equipment. You can combine them: karaoke early on and dancing afterwards.
Can we connect Spotify from a phone?
Yes, and it's the most common option. We leave the input ready with the level adjusted. A tip: download your playlists beforehand, because on country plots and in basements the signal drops at the worst possible moment.
How long does set-up take?
A small system takes half an hour to set up; one with subwoofers, lights and a DJ booth, a couple of hours. We always arrive with time to spare so it's ready before the first guest turns up.
Do you go to towns in the province?
Yes. Travel is calculated by distance and shown in the quote. See service areas.
