How we set up here
So close that time stops being a problem
Camas is separated from Seville by little more than the river and the ring road. For us it is almost an extension of the city: we get there in minutes and can nip back if anything is needed.
That proximity shows in short-notice bookings. A simple set-up can be sorted the same day, and a last-minute change (an extra microphone, a missing cable, a fill speaker) does not mean a long trip. It also makes events that finish in the early hours easier: the take-down does not turn into an ordeal.
A compact old centre and open neighbourhoods
The town's traditional centre has narrow streets and tight pavements, with the bustle you would expect from a local shopping area. There it is best to set an unloading time and not count on parking out front. Around it, the newer neighbourhoods and the industrial areas near the ring road have wide streets and direct access. The town also borders the green area around the Alamillo, so there are open spaces within easy reach for outdoor events.
Venues, halls and warehouses
Many celebrations take place in hired venues and the town's function halls. These are rooms with medium-height ceilings, rectangular and hard-walled, where an oversized system only makes it impossible to understand anything. Two well-placed active speakers, a restrained subwoofer and ambient lighting will handle almost any party of a hundred people. In warehouses and open-plan venues, how the system is distributed matters more than its total power.

What gets celebrated
Venue parties, neighbourhood events and nearby weddings
It is a mid-sized, very urban town where almost everything is celebrated indoors, except during the festival weeks.
The most common bookings are birthdays, private parties and family celebrations in hired venues, with a DJ booth, sound and a bit of lighting. Next come events for associations, schools and religious brotherhoods, which need a PA system and microphone more than music, and weddings and First Communions, which are often held at estates and haciendas in the nearby Aljarafe but organised from here.
During the town's fair and festival weeks, the work moves onto the streets: caseta (fair marquee), stage platform and outdoor sound system, with a generator if the venue lacks a sufficient power supply. Throughout the year there are also cultural activities in municipal venues, with small-format set-ups.

Frequently asked questions
Frequently asked questions in Camas
Can you bring equipment at short notice?
In Camas it is easier than anywhere else because of the distance, but it depends on equipment and staff availability that day. Give us a call and we will tell you straight away whether it is doable.
I am hiring a venue for a birthday. What do I need?
For a venue holding a hundred people: a pair of active speakers, a subwoofer if there will be dancing, a music source or DJ booth, and a microphone. A little coloured lighting changes the place considerably.
The venue has a sound limiter. Will the equipment still work?
Yes, but working below the threshold. It is best to know beforehand so we can choose the right equipment; we explain it in our article on when a sound limiter is mandatory.
