How we set up here
Two towns, so please tell us which one
La Rinconada and San José de La Rinconada are two towns within the same municipality, separated by countryside. Mixing them up when giving the address costs half an hour in the van.
It is the first thing we ask for: which town and the exact address. From there, access is easy in both, with reasonably wide streets and parking, and very easy in the industrial area, which covers a considerable stretch alongside the main roads. The municipality is well connected to the city via the A-4 and the SE-40 and sits close to the airport, which is why its venues are used for corporate events.
Sports facilities and events with grandstand seating
La Rinconada has high-standard sports facilities that host competitions and events with spectators. PA systems in these venues call for their own approach: announcements and commentary must be understood in every stand, using distributed and, where needed, delayed systems, with the sound aimed at the audience rather than the back walls. In an indoor arena the reverberation is high, and intelligibility matters more than power.
Farmland, country estates and warehouses
Between the two towns and towards the river there is countryside, country estates and farms, plus industrial estates with large warehouses. For an event on an estate or in a warehouse, the same things always need sorting out: firm ground for unloading, a power point with real capacity (often we end up using a generator) and allowance for dust, because on dirt tracks the equipment gets dirty and the connectors suffer.

What gets celebrated
Street festivals, sport and corporate events
With two towns, the festive calendar doubles: each has its own fair and festivities, and both hold activities throughout the year.
Street events are the most visible bookings: casetas (fair marquees), verbenas (street parties), concerts at the fairground and outdoor cultural activities. They are set up with a stage or platform, an outdoor sound system and lighting, and with a power plan fixed from the outset. When there are bands, we add stage monitoring and backline according to the rider.
Sport accounts for another important share: fun runs, tournaments and championships that need a PA system at the start and finish line, music and commentary. And the industrial land brings corporate events, open days and warehouse presentations with sound and projection.

Frequently asked questions
Frequently asked questions in La Rinconada
Can you provide sound for a fun run?
Yes. The usual set-up is a PA system at the start and finish, music while people wait, and commentary for announcements and the prize-giving. If the route is long, we can add points with self-powered equipment at key spots.
Is setting up in La Rinconada the same as in San José?
In terms of price, yes: it is the same municipality and the same travel charge. In terms of logistics, no: they are separate towns several kilometres apart, so we need the exact address.
What if the event is on a country estate with no power?
We bring a generator sized to the equipment's consumption, with power distribution and protection. We also need to check that the access track can take the weight of the loaded vehicle; if it rains, a dirt track can become a serious problem.
How late can you stay?
Until the event ends. Take-down is part of the service and is included; if it finishes in the early hours, we pack up in the early hours.
An event in La Rinconada or San José?
Tell us the town, the venue and the date. We will put together a quote covering equipment, power and installation.
