The booth standard
Why almost every DJ asks for CDJs and a DJM
Because it is the equipment they find in every club: they arrive, plug in their USB stick and know where everything is without looking at the manual.
We rent CDJ equipment for DJs in Seville, with professional gear for events, private parties, weddings, concerts, festivals and clubs. We work with models from the Pioneer CDJ-2000 Nexus family and the Pioneer CDJ-3000, with Pioneer DJM-900 mixers and other models in the range, as well as controllers, all-in-one systems and complete sound systems.
What a CDJ is and what a DJM is
The CDJ is the player: it takes the USB stick with the music, lets you browse tracks on screen, adjust the tempo and set cue points. The DJM is the mixer: it is where channels are blended, filtered, EQ'd and given effects, and where the signal leaves for the sound system. A standard club booth is two or four linked CDJs with a DJM in the middle.
Why link them
When the players are networked together, a single USB stick feeds them all, tempo information is synced and the DJ can see on each screen what is happening on the other. It is the workflow most professional DJs use, and setting it up properly — network, cabling and output to the mixer — is part of what we do when we build the booth.
How many players
Two CDJs and a DJM cover virtually every wedding, private party and corporate event. Four make sense for more elaborate sets, booths with DJ changeovers or when the artist works with more than two tracks at once. If the event does not need that format, an all-in-one system such as the AlphaTheta XDJ-AZ does the same job, takes up less space and sets up in half the time.

Before you book
What to check with your DJ
The music format. CDJs read USB. Your DJ should bring two sticks with the same music: it is the most common failure and the easiest to prevent. Even better if the library is exported from DJ management software, as it keeps cue points and analysis.
The number of players. Asking “will two do?” saves money or avoids disappointment, depending on the case.
The output to the system. The DJM connects to the PA through a balanced output at the right level. A classic mistake is to feed the system from the headphone or booth output and push it to its limit: it sounds dirty all night and nobody knows why.
Where the booth goes. Never in front of the speakers; with a view of the dance floor, on a stable surface and with its own power socket. Outdoors, under a roof or marquee: the early-morning dew gets things wet too.
How it differs from an all-in-one DJ booth
CDJs and a DJM give you the club standard and maximum flexibility, at the cost of more set-up, more cabling and more space. An all-in-one unit gives you a much faster set-up and a tidier booth, at the cost of less modularity. If your DJ has not specifically asked for CDJs, the all-in-one will very likely suit them just as well. And if you are after the full set-up with sound and lights, take a look at our complete DJ booth.

Frequently asked questions
CDJ rental FAQs
Can I rent just the CDJs, without a sound system?
Yes. If the venue already has a system, we bring the players and the mixer, cable them up and leave the output matched to its installation.
What do I bring the music on?
On a USB stick. We always recommend two copies, ideally exported from the DJ's management software, which keeps cue points and analysis. Your DJ can also use their own controller if they prefer to work that way.
How much does CDJ rental cost in Seville?
It depends on how many players you need, whether sound is included, the duration and whether a technician is included. Tell us about the event and we will give you a quick price range; on our prices and quotes page we explain what affects the cost.
Two CDJs or four?
Two cover the vast majority of events. Four make sense for complex sets, with several tracks running at once or DJ changeovers without stopping the music.
Are headphones included?
DJs usually prefer their own, but we can include them if needed. Just let us know when you request your quote.
Can you set it up outdoors?
Yes, with the booth protected: a roof or marquee, skirting and a stable surface. What we never do is leave electronics exposed to rain or dew.
