How we set up here
The historic town above, the countryside below
Carmona's old town sits on a raised escarpment, with city walls, monumental gateways and narrow, steep streets. All around stretches countryside dotted with haciendas and cortijos.
Inside the historic quarter, set-ups are among the most demanding in the province: access is through old gateways, there are one-way streets, cobblestones, slopes and pedestrianised stretches. We unload at the nearest authorised point and the equipment goes in on trolleys, allowing for the gradient. On top of that, many of the buildings are listed, so nothing is anchored to or leant against historic walls: everything goes on our own weighted stands.
Haciendas and celebration estates
Most of the work, however, is outside the old town. The Los Alcores countryside is home to many haciendas and estates dedicated to celebrations, with large gardens, courtyards and halls. There, the set-up is done by zones: ceremony, drinks reception, banquet and dancing, each with its own equipment and cabling, all in place before the first guest arrives. Distances within the estate itself can run to dozens of metres, so cabling is planned on a site plan.
Power and wind
At an estate, the available power is what counts. Many have a supply that is fine for normal use, but not for sound, decorative lighting and catering at the same time, and that is when a generator comes in. Another factor that is often underestimated on the Alcor escarpment is wind: on high, open ground, any structure, screen or tall stand has to be weighted or braced.

What gets celebrated
Weddings, cultural events and town festivities
Carmona's heritage attracts events looking for a unique setting, and the town also has its own festive calendar.
Weddings are the main booking, and they are often full-day weddings: an outdoor ceremony, drinks in the garden, the banquet and a party until late, with decorative lighting that transforms the garden after dark. There are also plenty of corporate events and launches in spaces with character, where the challenge is to deliver good sound without filling a beautiful courtyard with tripods.
Added to that are cultural events in squares and historic buildings (concerts, recitals, official ceremonies), which are set up with discreet equipment and great care for the surroundings, and the town's own festivities, with a stage and an outdoor sound system at the fairground.

Frequently asked questions
Questions about weddings and events in Carmona
How far in advance do you set up a wedding at an estate?
On the day itself, starting in the morning, and if the estate allows it we leave part of it set up the day before. We never set up in the hours just before the guests arrive: it leaves no margin to sort out anything unexpected.
The hacienda already has a sound system. Will it do?
Sometimes it works for background music during the drinks reception, but rarely for the ceremony and almost never for the dancing. We check it beforehand and supply only what is missing, which is usually the microphones and the main sound system.
Can you set up inside the historic quarter?
Yes, once the logistics are sorted: access time, unloading point and the route for the equipment. In listed buildings we work without anchoring anything to the property, using free-standing supports.
Do we need a generator?
It depends on the estate's actual power supply and the planned equipment. We check beforehand; it is far better to rule it out with real figures than to discover halfway through the party that the supply can't cope.
