A new town, and that makes logistics much easier
Apart from the old core, almost all of Mairena has been built in recent decades, with a spacious layout, parking and developments with pools and community halls.
For a set-up, this means the van almost always reaches the door and there are lifts and modern-sized entrances. The typical complication is a different one: access to gated developments. The residents' association or concierge needs to be told when the vehicle will arrive, and in some cases the underground car park has limited headroom. A quick message beforehand saves half an hour waiting at the barrier.
Communal areas, halls and sports courts
Many of the town's parties take place in communal spaces: the residents' lounge, the pool area, a sports court or an inner garden. These are semi-open spaces surrounded by homes, which calls for one thing in particular: aiming the system into the communal area, never at the façades, and keeping the bass firmly under control. With sensible tuning you can have a full-on party without the low end reaching the bedrooms of the block next door.
Municipal and neighbourhood events
The town has good-sized squares and public spaces that host cultural activities, neighbourhood festivals and sporting events. Here the set-up is closer to that of an urban square: a distributed outdoor system, a stage platform if there is a performance, and a generator or an authorised power hook-up, because street-furniture sockets rarely provide enough power.

Lots of family parties and plenty of community events
It is a town with a young population and many families, and its events calendar clearly reflects that.
The most common bookings are First Communion parties, children's and adults' birthdays, and end-of-year parties in the communal areas of housing estates. For these, a compact system, a microphone and music are all you need, or a DJ booth if there will be dancing. In summer, pool parties multiply, and they call for protected equipment and cabling kept well away from the water.
There are also quite a few debutante balls (puestas de largo) and teenage parties in hired venues, where the impact comes from the lighting rather than raw power, as well as events for associations and schools. Weddings tend to be held at estates in the nearby Aljarafe area, and a good number of them are organised from here.

Yes, as long as the residents' association gives permission, and it is one of the easiest set-ups we do. It is worth letting neighbours know when the vehicle will arrive and when the event is expected to finish, especially if there is a pool and homes all around.
Can I rent the equipment and set it up myself?
For simple systems, yes: a pair of speakers on tripods, a small mixer and microphones. We hand it over assembled and show you how it works. For structures, truss or large systems, we do the installation ourselves for safety reasons.
