How we set up here
Between the river and the hills
Lora sits on flat land in the Vega beside the Guadalquivir, and its municipal area climbs northwards towards the hills, with tracks and scattered estates.
Within the town, setting up is easy: reasonably wide streets, accessible squares and venues, and room to manoeuvre. Complications arise when the event is outside the town centre. In the Vega there are farms and estates reached by dirt tracks, and to the north, in the hills, access roads are narrow and steep. If the event is on high ground, we need to assess whether a loaded vehicle can make the climb and what condition the road surface is in.
Romería pilgrimages and processional events
As in many towns in the province, some events here are not held at a fixed spot but along a route. This kind of set-up calls for self-powered equipment (battery or portable generator) that can be moved and will last for hours outdoors, plus PA systems at the gathering points. It is as much a logistics job as a sound job.
Countryside, dust and power
In the Vega, the available power is rarely enough for a full set-up, so a generator is standard. And in summer you have to reckon with dust from the tracks: connections and the control position are protected, and the equipment is checked when it is collected. Small details that prevent failures right when the event is on.

What gets celebrated
Street festivities, romería pilgrimages and family celebrations
The town's calendar combines its own festivities with devotional and processional events that draw large crowds.
The fair, the patron saint festivities and the summer evening celebrations (veladas) account for most outdoor set-ups: a stage or platform, a system sized to the venue and lighting, with our own power supply. Romería events add a layer of mobility: PA points, self-powered equipment and planning for working far from any socket.
The rest of the year brings weddings and First Communion parties in function rooms and estates across the Vega, events for religious brotherhoods (hermandades) and associations that need clear PA, and cultural and sports activities organised by the town council. Agricultural businesses and cooperatives also hold events, usually in a warehouse or on an estate.

Frequently asked questions
Frequently asked questions in Lora del Río
Can you provide sound for a processional event?
Yes. We handle it with self-powered equipment that moves along the route and PA points at the gathering areas. We need to know the itinerary, the stops and the expected duration to calculate batteries and crew.
The venue is out in the countryside with no electricity. What do you do?
We bring a generator sized to the equipment's actual consumption, with power distribution and protection. We also check that the track can take the loaded vehicle, especially if it has rained.
How long does it take from Seville?
Around three quarters of an hour or a little more, depending on the route. Travel is calculated by distance and by the number of trips the set-up requires, and it is itemised in the quote.
Can you set up a stage at the fairground?
Yes, with modular stages in various sizes, covered or uncovered. We need to know the available area, whether the ground is level and firm, and how much electrical power is available.
Planning an event in Lora del Río?
