How we set up here
The furthest town, and the steepest
Estepa spreads across the slope of the hill that crowns the town, with steep streets in the upper part and flat areas in the lower part and on the industrial estate.
Two factors call the shots here. The first is distance: we are more than a hundred kilometres from the warehouse, so everything is prepared for a single trip there and back, with equipment checked, spares included and arrival with time to spare. The second is the gradient: in the upper part the streets are narrow and very steep, and we need to assess how far the vehicle can get and how many metres of climb have to be done with a trolley.
Viewpoints, squares and events with a view
The town's elevated position, with open views over the countryside, means many events take place in high, open spaces. The wind there is constant and every stand, screen or structure has to be ballasted. On top of that, sound travels unobstructed from high ground, so even a moderate level can be heard from quite far away: it pays to set levels with the surroundings in mind.
Warehouses and industry
Estepa has a renowned confectionery industry and an industrial estate with sizeable warehouses, very busy in the second half of the year. That brings corporate events, conferences and product presentations inside warehouses: tall, reverberant spaces where the system is distributed, voices are reinforced with headset microphones and projection is sized to the available light.

What gets celebrated
Town festivities, corporate events and the winter season
The local calendar has one particularity: autumn and winter are the peak season for business activity, and that shows in the events.
Spring and summer bring the fair, the patron saint festivities, the evening celebrations (veladas) and concerts, with a stage, outdoor sound system and lighting. In autumn and winter come seasonal product launches, corporate days, visits and trade events linked to local industry, plus the Christmas programme, with lights switch-ons, parades and performances that call for distributed PA systems and battery-powered equipment.
All year round there are family celebrations in function rooms, school events and sports activities. And in the surrounding hills, weddings and private events are held on country estates, with zone-by-zone set-ups and a generator.

Frequently asked questions
Frequently asked questions in Estepa
Do you cover Estepa despite the distance?
Yes. It is the furthest town on our usual list, and travel is shown separately in the quote. For medium and large set-ups it is worthwhile; for a small rental, we will tell you so openly.
Can you set up the day before?
That is what we usually suggest here. A single trip out, an unhurried set-up and take-down at the end. It requires the space to be locked or supervised overnight.
Our event is in a warehouse on the industrial estate. What do you need to know?
The clear ceiling height, whether there are rigging points or we need to use towers, the capacity of the electrical panel and whether the space will be empty or have stock stored in it. That last point changes the acoustics quite a lot.
What happens if something breaks when you are so far away?
We carry spares for whatever tends to fail (cables, microphones, a backup speaker) precisely because there is no time to go back. It is part of working across the province.
