How we set up here
A historic quarter that must be handled with care
Osuna has preserved a highly valuable old town, with streets of stately homes and monumental buildings in the upper part of town, plus large squares in the lower part.
Working here involves two things. The first is logistics: the streets of the historic quarter are narrow, slope up towards the top of the town and include stretches where a large vehicle is best kept out. The second is respect for the surroundings: nothing is anchored to façades or protected features, structures are free-standing and weighted, and cabling is tidied so that it doesn't cross walkways or spoil the look of the place.
Squares and open-air events
Most public events are held in squares and open spaces. In a square surrounded by tall buildings the sound bounces around a lot, so the system is distributed, aimed at the audience and kept under level control: that makes speech easier to understand and causes less disturbance to nearby homes. For concerts, the set-up includes a stage or platform and a structure to fly sound and lighting.
Distance and power
Osuna is a good hour from the warehouse, so the equipment is prepared to make as few trips as possible and spares are taken along. As for electricity, squares and venues rarely have a suitable supply: the usual answer is a generator sized to the load, with its own distribution and protection.

The town has a remarkable cultural life for its size and a festive calendar that fills much of the year.
The fair and patron saint festivities, cultural events, themed weeks and concerts make up the outdoor side. These set-ups are coordinated with the town council and require times, access and power to be agreed in advance. When bands come with a rider, we review the document and agree what each party provides.
Around the town, the countryside has cortijos and estates where weddings and private events are held, with zoned set-ups and a generator. And during the academic year there are school events, graduations and conferences, handled with a clear PA system, projection and a technician throughout the session.

Yes, with the relevant permit from the town council. We set up without anchoring anything to the buildings, using free-standing structures, and leave the space exactly as we found it.

Both. For a simple event we can leave the system ready and explain how it works; for a concert or a long day we recommend a technician, especially if the event is far away and there is no margin to solve a problem over the phone.
