Sound for events in the city of Seville
Within the city, travel is included. What really shapes the set-up is the neighbourhood: unloading in the Alfalfa is nothing like unloading on an avenue in Sevilla Este.

Setting up within the city
In the city, the hard part is almost never the equipment
The equipment needed for a presentation in a venue in Nervión and for a rooftop party in the centre is much the same. What changes is how that equipment gets into the venue.
Seville is a two-speed city for anyone setting up events. West of the Guadalquivir and in the old town the urban fabric is old, dense and full of short streets; to the east and north the city opened up over recent decades with wide avenues, blocks with their own parking and large communal spaces. The same system can take forty minutes to set up in one place and three hours in another.
Loading and unloading: the first thing we ask
Before talking about speakers, we ask where the van can get in. The historic centre has streets with restricted, camera-controlled access, pedestrian sections, cobblestones and loading times limited to early morning. That means setting up early or unloading in a nearby street and bringing the equipment in by hand, on a trolley. It is not a problem if we know in advance; it becomes one if we only find out on arrival.
Stairs, lifts and rooftops
Many of the city's private parties take place in penthouses, rooftops and the courtyards of old houses. Three measurements matter there: the width of the lift door, the clearance height of the entrance and whether there is a final flight of stairs up to the terrace. With those three details we choose between a compact system that goes up in the lift and a bigger one that simply will not fit. On rooftops and in inner courtyards we also allow for a lot of sound reflection: clarity is gained by lowering the volume and positioning well, not by adding power.
Neighbours, curfews and noise
In a residential building the real limit is set not by the equipment but by the neighbours and the curfew. The sensible approach is to agree the finishing time in advance, keep the bass under control (it is what travels through floors and walls) and point the speakers into the space. Licensed venues usually have a sound limiter installed, and the system has to work below it. We explain this in our guide to noise regulations and in the article on when a sound limiter is mandatory.
Neighbourhood by neighbourhood
Every district has its own kind of set-up
These are the parts of the city where we work most. For each one we explain access, typical venues and the equipment most often requested.
West of the river
Triana
Narrow streets, courtyard houses and terraces overlooking the Guadalquivir. Compact set-ups and unloading by hand.

Los Remedios
A regular street grid, tall buildings and the Feria grounds (the Real) next door. In April, everything depends on the calendar.

Nervión
Offices, hotels and meeting rooms. Projection, speech microphones and set-ups during working hours.

Sevilla Este
Wide avenues, squares and community centres. The easiest part of the city for unloading.

La Macarena
From the area around the old city walls to the northern neighbourhoods: two very different ways of setting up.

Where events take place in Seville
The city is home to hotels with function rooms, company headquarters, halls of residence, theatres, rehearsal rooms, courtyards in historic buildings and terraces. Each type calls for its own approach.
In hotels and meeting rooms the goal is speech intelligibility, not power: lavalier or headset microphones, a couple of well-placed speakers, projection or a screen, and a technician keeping an eye on the sound throughout the day. In banqueting halls the system has to cover two different moments, the speeches and the party, and this is often solved with a main system plus a small reinforcement system in another room.
In courtyards and gardens you have to allow for the fact that there are no walls to help: you need a bit more system for the same number of people, and it is better to split it into two points than to turn one up. At schools, colleges and universities most events are in the morning, with graduations concentrated into a few weeks, and are usually handled with a PA system, a lectern and background music. And in April the whole city reorganises itself around the Feria grounds: caseta (fair marquee) set-ups have their own logic and their own calendar.

What we send out most within the city
Within the city, medium-sized set-ups and indoor venues dominate, so the most requested equipment is the kind that sounds great without taking up half the room.
Frequently asked questions
Common questions about city set-ups
Do you charge for travel within Seville city?
No. Within the municipal area, transport is included in the quote. What can vary is the set-up time if the equipment has to be carried in by hand or if loading hours mean arriving very early.
My street is pedestrianised. Can you still set up?
Yes, but we need to know when you request the quote. Depending on how far away the vehicle can stop, the set-up may require an extra person and a little more time. If there is an access permit or a loading time window, we make use of it.
How late can you have music in a flat or on a rooftop?
It depends on the building's use, the venue's licence and the local by-law. In residential buildings, the practical reference is the night-time quiet hours: from then on it is best to turn the level right down or finish. We would rather tell you beforehand than argue with a neighbour mid-party.
Can you set up with very little time between the room becoming free and the event starting?
Yes, if we know in advance. The equipment is pre-assembled in racks with labelled cabling to cut down time in the room. Tell us the actual time we can get in, not the one on the programme.
Do you also work outside the city?
Yes, throughout the province. You can look up your town in our service areas, where we explain how travel is calculated outside the city.
Tell us the neighbourhood and the exact venue
With the address, the floor and the time we can get in, we will finalise your quote and set-up with no surprises.
